ReadyWise is a leading manufacturer of freeze-dried and dehydrated meals, soups and other ingredients with sales throughout the US and the UK. We are seeking a dynamic Contract Manufacturing Sales Manager to join our team.
The Contract Manufacturing Sales Manager has primary responsibility to generate sales leads, initiate new customer contact, develop solutions for new contacts and close new business for ReadyWise's Contract Manufacturing Services business unit. The Sales Manager will actively engage in development and implementation of RW's contract manufacturing sales efforts for food products. This role is part of a cross functional business team that supports both the onboarding of new accounts and manages ongoing relationships with existing customers. In addition, the Sales Manager will focus on achieving optimum sales volume and margin results on all projects consistent with the business strategy. The Sales Manager is responsible for directing support staff to efficiently service co-pack projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for management of entire sales cycle from prospecting through contract completion
- Consistently generate leads via prospecting, networking, trade shows and referral efforts
- Participate in marketing strategy development and implementation
- Work as part of cross functional team responsible for onboarding new projects, maintaining strong customer relationships and managing customer ongoing needs
- Focus on achieving optimum sales volume and margin results on all projects consistent with the Business Unit strategy and develop marketing plan and materials accordingly
- Responsible for directing support staff to efficiently and effectively service their co-pack projects and customers
- Communicate purchase / sales activity to Sr. Manager via reports, email, personal contact and co-packer / customer management systems (e.g. completion of timely travel reports, supplier / customer entry notes, attendance at purchase / sales conference calls, etc).
Minimum Qualifications
Possess 5+ years sales experience in co-packing / contract manufacturing.Minimum 3 years' experience developing new business leads.Minimum 3 years negotiating sales contracts.2+ years creating, implementing and evaluating strategic business unit marketing plans preferred.Ability to travel to meet business needs. This includes travel which may exceed 25% of work time for trade shows and customer visits.Maintain current driver's license and be insurable to drive a personal vehicle.Seniority level
