Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Manufacturing Associate Ingot Maker to work with our client, a leading global technology and materials science company, at their Wilmington, NC facility. As a W2 employee, you will have access to health benefits.
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Associate Ingot Maker is responsible for supporting the production of ultra-low loss ingots by operating precision flame lathe equipment and performing various measurements and quality inspections. This position plays a key role in supporting both manufacturing operations and experimental workflows within the Submarine Manufacturing area.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and flexibility to adapt to evolving production and development needs.
Responsibilities
- Operate flame lathe equipment to manufacture ultra-low loss ingots according to defined specifications and safety protocols
- Inspect incoming parts for quality assurance and compliance with manufacturing standards
- Support experimental workflows in the OR (Optical Research) and OV (Optical Verification) areas
- Perform York, Empire, and Cairo measurements as required for process monitoring and control
- Conduct PCVA, iCVA, and CPG measurements for process experiments
- Perform screening and precision measurements in the Submarine area to ensure process accuracy and quality
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to support both manufacturing and development activities as needed
- Support additional manufacturing operations , material handling, and equipment setup / maintenance as directed
- Adhere to all safety and cleanroom standards during operations
