Fixed Asset Accountant

Location : Hybrid in Seattle, WA

Contract Type : Contract-to-Hire

Compensation : Competitive market rate (Estimated range : $75,000–$95,000 annually DOE)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity in Seattle, WA . This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and experience managing fixed asset lifecycles. The Fixed Asset Accountant will ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance for the company’s asset portfolio while supporting month-end close and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reclassifications

Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations of fixed asset accounts

Review and ensure proper classification of assets in accordance with GAAP

Monitor depreciation schedules and prepare journal entries for month-end close

Support physical inventory of assets and periodic asset audits

Assist in preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to fixed assets

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, procurement) to ensure accurate asset tracking

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit requirements

Provide analysis and reporting on asset utilization, additions, retirements, and capital expenditure trends

Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy of fixed asset management

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of accounting experience, with focus on fixed assets preferred

Strong understanding of US GAAP and asset capitalization policies

Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP / accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities

Strong communication skills to work effectively with finance and operational teams

CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred

Schedule :

Hybrid work model (3 days onsite in Seattle, 2 days remote per week)
