Reports to : Quality Assurance Manager
Essential Function : Provide and maintain a clean and sanitary workplace, ensuring compliance with all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), GMPs, and food safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Verify the completion of sanitation schedules, ensuring all areas and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Implement corrective actions for any reported deficiencies.
- Oversee sanitation on the RAW side, including the loading dock.
- Oversee sanitation on the RTE side.
- Ensure that prep rooms are ready for production.
- Oversee PRE-OP measures for the following production day.
- Properly train all new employees in accordance with SSOPs and GMPs.
- Consistently follow and enforce GMP, SOP, and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of various sanitation chemicals and equipment.
- Comprehensively understand cleaning procedures for all processing equipment and tools.
- Report maintenance concerns to the maintenance department.
- Ensure all chemicals are properly labeled, and that sanitation equipment and chemicals are stored correctly at the end of each shift.
- Manage chemical inventory.
- Perform hands on sanitation as needed.
- Report any acts or conditions that may jeopardize product safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
