2026 Analyst I Mergers & Acquisitions (Cleveland, OH)

Citizens Bank is seeking Investment Banking Analysts to join the Capital Markets & Advisory (“CM&A”) team. Analysts work closely with the team’s junior and senior professionals preparing, analyzing, and executing investment banking related transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market.

Analysts are assigned to active and prospective engagement teams across multiple industries within our core areas of focus and have the opportunity to grow professionally in a fast-paced environment.

Mergers & Acquisitions – Cleveland, OH

Our Cleveland M&A Advisory team provides sell-side and buy-side advisory services for middle market sponsors and founders / owners. Teams are organized by industry, including Building Products, Paper & Packaging, Industrial Equipment, Industrial Distribution, Capital Equipment, Healthcare, and Consumer. Each sector team focuses exclusively on its industry and provides true sector expertise to investors and founders.

Responsibilities

Shared responsibilities across all CM&A functions include :

• Financial Analysis : Financial modeling, comparable company and transaction analyses, leveraged buyout, and other valuation analyses.
• Preparing Information Memoranda and Transaction Documents : Draft key marketing and transaction-related documents.
• Supporting Team Members : Develop new business ideas, pitch strategies, or transaction structuring scenarios to help clients achieve their strategic objectives.
• Preparing Pitch / Business Origination Materials and Presentations : Develop and assemble pitches and presentations and be an integral part of delivering these presentations.
