District Federal Grants Manager

The District Federal Grants Manager supervises all federal, state, and private funds the region receives, ensuring the programmatic and financial components are fulfilled. This position also supports the District Finance Director's financial responsibilities for all schools and departments, including applying department and school-level procedures, policies, and regulations on managing federal, state, and private funds. This position works collaboratively with various staff members to ensure that all financial and regulatory requirements are satisfied and that the organization's culture is maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor federal, state, and private grants, ensuring timely and compliant fund use and liquidation.
• Support the Finance Director with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes; review and resolve variances.
• Produce, analyze, and submit financial budgeting and grant management reports.
• Facilitate monthly / quarterly meetings with budget owners and the Finance Director.
• Track spending against budgets in collaboration with the Finance Director and school-based teams.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and state grant regulations.
• Stay current on federal and state policy changes by reviewing the Commissioner's Memos.
• Offer internal technical support regarding appropriate and allowable uses of federal funds.
• Utilize AvidXchange, APSCN, Indistar, Cognos, Google Workspace, and Excel to manage and report financial data.
• Maintain accurate paper and digital documentation of all transactions.
• Support monthly and year-end closeout processes, including audit preparation for OMB A-133.
• Assist with additional Finance Team projects as needed.

Education : Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience : Minimum of 1 year of accounting or grant management experience required, preferably in education.

District Manager salaries will be based on individual experience and within the SY 2025-26 Salary Schedule.
