Data Scientist
CALIBRE Systems, inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a senior data scientist to work as part of the Innovation Center team that will lead AI / ML projects from concept and design to deployment and monitoring .
The data scientist will write white papers, pre par e reports, and create comprehensive documentatio n on all data products created .
The ideal candidate should be able to provide input on how to create data-driven innovation through technology and analytics that add s value for our customers.
Candidate must be passionate about helping others solve problems, gain insights, and make decisions using data. They will display deep technical knowledge and be able to communicate it to a wide-ranging audience.
This position is a hybrid role.
Required Skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required )
Passion for solving problems with data and a high level of curiosity
Experience with designing AI / ML experiments , model testing, results presentation and documentation
Experience using Python (Pandas, Numpy , Sci-kit learn, Tensorflow , PyTorch , Transformers, FastAPI )
Experience writing SQL queries
Experience integrating with and fine-tuning LLMs
Experience using AWS services
Experience deploying production AI / ML models for inference
Experience using GitHub or similar source control repository
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to teach complex concepts to other team members
Collaborative mindset working in a cross-functional team
Must be a lifelong learner, willing to share and grow the knowledge of those around them .

Experience with Neo4j
Experience with spark and databricks
AWS Machine Learning Specialty Certification
Masters in Data Science or related quantitative field
Required Experience
BS / BA in related degree such as Data Analytics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, etc. (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted)
Minimum of 6+ years professional work experience providing data science services in the federal or DoD market .
