JOB DESCRIPTION :

The Pacific Packaging Machinery division, located in Corona, CA is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. The responsibilities will include all duties related to shipping and receiving products into the facility.

The position reports to the Materials Manager.

• Assists with receiving in product and inventory.
• Maintains shipping and receiving logs and maintains files of shipping records. Processes lost freight or shipping damage claims.
• Wraps and packs finished orders suitable for shipping. Prepares packing lists, bills of lading and other shipping documentation as necessary
• Assists loading and unloading of all delivery trucks. Assures compliance with workplace safety procedures. Limits access to loading docks by unauthorized individuals.
• Receives / ships orders by checking packing lists, comparing specifications and quantities and indicates any discrepancies, tags parts as needed, maintains records in Syteline software systems.
• Assists in stockroom as needed.
• May drive forklift, as needed.
• Mark per dot peen machine items with identification markings, (will train if needed).
• Help with assisting overall production, (time permitting).
• Prepare, pack, box or crate all outgoing shipments per UPS or LTL service.
• Perform daily cycle audit counts of assigned part numbers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• High School / GED, technical certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a Shipping and Receiving / Inventory Control department, in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP / Shipping & Receiving systems, Syteline preferred
• Ability to utilize Microsoft products, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move shipments to hand truck
• Administrative skills to include proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to partner with employees and vendors and maintain a positive attitude
• Valid training certificate to operate fork truck preferred, training is provided
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Accuracy & attention to detail are very important
• Prior experience using UPS.
• Once properly trained, be able to perform duties with minimum supervision.
