Surgical Technician
Location : Manhattan, NYC
Position Overview :
Winston is seeking dedicated and skilled Surgical Technicians to join our client’s dynamic healthcare team. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of surgical procedures.
You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterile and readily available.
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures to minimize the risk of infection and ensure patient safety.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning them on the operating table and prepping the surgical site.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of procedures.
- Assist with post-operative care, including dressing wounds, applying sterile dressings, and transporting patients to recovery areas.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for infection control, safety, and quality assurance.
Qualifications :
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Surgical Technician in a hospital or surgical center setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
