Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM)

BD Advanced Patient Monitoring is a global leader in advanced monitoring solutions that expands BD's portfolio of smart connected care solutions with its growing set of leading monitoring technologies, advanced AI-enabled clinical decision tools and robust innovation pipeline. BD Advanced Patient Monitoring's technologies are often used simultaneously with the BD Alaris™ Infusion System in the operating room or intensive care units. The combination of BD's new advanced monitoring and existing infusion platforms enables future innovation opportunities for closed-loop hemodynamic monitoring and IV fluid and medication administration by integrating combined company data sets and interoperability capabilities.

The Director of Innovation will lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and accelerate early-stage business opportunities that drive growth and differentiation. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our portfolio by partnering closely with research teams across the business unit to develop and commercialize advanced solutions in algorithms, sensors, and capital platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

• Innovation Partnership : Collaborate with internal R&D, product development, and innovation partners to translate emerging technologies into market-ready solutions.
• Market Opportunity Assessment : Conduct deep market analysis to identify unmet needs, disruptive trends, and whitespace opportunities in algorithm-driven, sensor-based, and capital product domains.
• Strategic Roadmapping : Develop and maintain strategic marketing plans for early-stage initiatives, aligning with corporate growth objectives.
• Business Case Development : Build robust business cases for new concepts, including market sizing, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and ROI projections.
• Go-to-Market Strategy : Define commercialization pathways for innovative solutions, including positioning, messaging, and launch strategies.
• Voice of Customer : Engage with key stakeholders, customers, and thought leaders to validate concepts and refine value propositions.
