Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support and maintain both building infrastructure and industrial manufacturing equipment, including lasers, water jets, CNC machines, and other specialized machinery. This role is essential in ensuring the operational integrity and safety of our facilities and production capabilities. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for managing third-party vendor relationships for large-scale facility repairs and specialized equipment servicing.
Key Responsibilities :
Facilities Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire systems, etc.)
- Respond to maintenance work orders and building repair needs promptly
- Maintain clean and safe workspaces in accordance with safety regulations
- Support general facility upkeep including minor construction, carpentry, and painting as required
Industrial Equipment Maintenance
Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machines such as CNC machines, lasers, and water jetsTroubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and malfunctions; make necessary repairs or escalate as neededCollaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtimeMaintain maintenance logs and documentation for all equipment servicedVendor & Contractor Management
Coordinate with external service providers for specialized equipment repairs and large-scale facility maintenanceSource, evaluate, and manage vendors for cost-effective and timely serviceOversee contractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, timelines, and safety proceduresTrack and verify vendor invoices and maintenance-related purchasesQualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred3+ years of relevant experience in facilities and industrial equipment maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing environmentStrong working knowledge of CNC machines, laser cutters, water jets, and other precision manufacturing toolsFamiliarity with reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manualsBasic understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks in varying conditionsStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independentlyExcellent organizational and communication skills, including vendor coordinationProficiency with maintenance tracking software (e.g., CMMS) is a plusWork Environment :
Combination of office, manufacturing, and maintenance floor environmentsExposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical partsMay require occasional evening or weekend hours to support emergency repairsBenefits
