Warehouse Associate Full-time Tomball, TX About Renewal by Andersen (www.rbahouston.com) Renewal by Andersen, exclusive replacement window and patio door subsidiary of the 100+ year old Andersen Corporation.

Renewal by Andersen offers a start-to-finish replacement process, where custom-crafted, energy-efficient replacement windows and doors are professionally installed for residential customers.

Location : Tomball, TX Compensation : $16.00-18.00 per hour depending on experience. General Responsibilities : Responsible for managing the warehouse; maintain an organized and standard setup of all warehouse inventory according to company standards and best practice;

responsible for the safety and security of warehouse inventory and equipment; and close-down and lock-up warehouse. Responsible for managing all material movement through the warehouse including receiving, stocking, staging and issuing.

Coordinate unloading shipments and stocking warehouse in safe & orderly manner. Responsible for managing the weekly temporary workers : work closely with Recruiter to report hours worked, performance and report any problems related to the temporary workers.

Organize orders by day for efficient installer pick up : Arrange orders for next day and stage per pick up times. Manage installer load times : ensure installers stay within the assigned pick-up schedule Manage installers loading orders : ensure installers have what they need for each job Maintain accurate checklist / inventory of orders received by installers by job.

Maintain accurate levels of inventory and recommend units to order; organize and stage material, caulking, and trim for next day orders;

label and rotate stock as it comes in to use, oldest first. Coordinate schedule of dumpster pick-up and adjust schedule as needed.

Maintain, clean, and organize inside and outside of warehouse; clean parking lots and use magnet (to nails, screws, hazards) twice daily after installers leave (in AM and before leaving if any crews returned to load / unload).

Build and repair carts as needed. Repair showroom displays. Build shelving, racks, hang dates, etc. as needed to maintain warehouse organized and clean.

Other duties as assigned. Skills Ability to read and write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Be able to identify product by size, type, style, color, or product code. Must be able to read orders / match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Requirements Experience in a similar role as outlined above Prior experience : working for a Window and / or Door company, Millwork, or Window and / or Door installation is a Huge Plus! For at least two years have been the sole warehouse employee or part of a small warehouse team responsible for the day to day running of a warehouse.

4+ years with full-life cycle Warehouse experience including receiving, staging, stocking, inventory control, etc. 1+ year experience managing a warehouse utilizing Lean methodology The employee must maintain regular and acceptable punctuality and attendance.

Employees must display strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, initiative, dependability, oral and written communications skills, work standards and follow up.

Ability to regularly lift and / or move objects 10-80 lbs. Ability to work in a warehouse that does not provide heating or air conditioning.

Carpentry experience Computer skills : MS Office Must be able to work in a Warehouse that is not air conditioned nor heated Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check Excellent written and verbal communication skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee must maintain regular and acceptable attendance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms;

The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
