The Brands Senior Accountant will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting and analysis for the Brands licensing division of ThreeSixty Group. This role will also be responsible for the accounting and reporting of royalties associated with the MerchSource division of ThreeSixty Group.
This important position will provide financial analysis support to the Brands division leadership team, will evaluate financial results of licensing initiatives, and proactively conduct analysis on operational costs.
About the Role
ThreeSixty Brands division :
- Responsible for month end closing, which includes journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
- Prepare the monthly financial statements and fluctuation analysis report
- Fully understand and review the various Royalty Licensing Agreements where the Company is the licensor to ensure accurate revenue recognition, tracking, reporting and cash flow projections
- Oversee and maintain Dependable Solutions, the licensing software used by the Company, to track quarterly royalty reports from the licensees
- Prepare invoices for the Guaranteed Minimum Royalties to send to the Company's licensees
- Prepare ad hoc reports and special projects as required
- Supervise and mentor the staff accountant, as pertaining to licensing tasks
- Work with the division's leadership team to develop the annual Budget and Reforecasts
- Responsible for month end closing, which includes journal entry preparation and account reconciliations, including ownership of intercompany account reconciliations and the period-end AP accrual process
- Fully understand and review the various Royalty Licensing Agreements where the Company is the licensee to ensure accurate tracking, P&L reporting, and payments
- Calculate the quarterly royalties due and prepare the quarterly royalty reports due to the Company's licensors
- Submission of quarterly royalty invoices to AP for payment
- Work with the sales team to provide Sales Forecasts as requested by the Company's licensors
- Assist with external audit preparation
- Prepare ad hoc reports and special projects as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
BS Degree with emphasis in Accounting and / or Finance5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, wholesale or eCommerceExperience with an ERP system, such as NetSuite, requiredBackground in royalties / licensing preferredRequired Skills
