A boutique engineering and environmental services firm based in the Dallas, TX area, passionate about delivering purpose-driven water and environmental solutions. The Engineering Division employs cutting-edge technology to tackle water resource projects, including floodplain analysis, watershed management, and erosion control design. The Environmental Division ensures stormwater compliance for major construction sites, while the Construction Division offers remediation services such as stream restoration projects for slopes, drainage, and channels for residential, commercial, and municipal clients in North Texas.

The Engineering Division is currently seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to serve as a Project Manager in the Wylie, TX office.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Wylie, TX, for a Project Manager - Stormwater Engineer . The role involves serving as the primary signing engineer on various types of stormwater management / water resources projects, training and oversight of staff with varying experience levels, overseeing project timelines and budgets, attending and leading meetings with clients, and frequent written and verbal communication with local, state, federal, and private entities.

Job Requirements

Applicants should be a Professional Engineer licensed in the state of Texas with a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing and managing projects focused on hydrology and hydraulics. The position requires the ability to perform routine engineering work related to stormwater modeling that requires the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas (licensure in other states is a plus)

Extensive, proven technical experience using industry-standard software, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office products (experience with other hydraulic software types is a plus)

Strong understanding and experience implementing hydrologic and hydraulic principles such as the Rational Method, Unit Hydrograph Methods, Manning's Equation, and tabular closed system analyses

Familiarity with Texas Dam Safety Regulations and dam breach analysis methods is a plus

Experience with FEMA LOMC submittals and coordination preferred

Strong technical writing ability

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams

Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects while mentoring junior staff
