This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule .
Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
You’ll provide Tier 1 support for store technologies while assisting senior engineers with system configuration, updates, and compliance across our retail footprint.
- Assist in improving system uptime, configuration consistency, and automation under the guidance of senior engineers
- Provide Tier 1 support for store technologies, including Windows, Linux, networking, and A / V systems, escalating complex issues as needed
- Support hardware and software rollouts, ensuring successful implementation and functionality in retail environments
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Information Security, DevOps, Infrastructure, and vendor partners to implement secure, scalable solutions
- Use monitoring tools to track performance and report anomalies or improvement opportunities
- Help maintain compliance with PCI, security, and audit standards through patching, logging, and documentation
- Participate in ongoing training, knowledge-sharing, and documentation efforts to strengthen overall team performance
You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have :
1+ year of IT support or systems experience (retail or multi-site environment preferred)Experience with Windows + Linux OS operations, updates, and securityBasic networking fundamentals (Meraki or similar hardware)Familiarity with A / V or digital signage systemsComfort with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and documentation hygieneStrong communication, especially with non-technical usersSelf-motivation, organization, and an eagerness to learn and take initiativeAn interest in security compliance (PCI exposure is a plus!)Bonus points if you also bring :
Degree or coursework in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fieldCompTIA, Microsoft, or Linux certificationsExperience with store technology systems (e.g., POS like Nitross)Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VPN, or system monitoring toolsCompensation & Benefits
Pay Range : $60,000–$70,000 + DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
