About The Position

Certifications : NBSTSA, BLS

Must-Have : Experience in Neuro, ENT, and Robotics cases

Description :

Position involves working in the Operating Room as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Shifts are 4x10 hours, from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with holiday rotation.

Weekend rotation is required with potential for up to 2 weekend on-call shifts every 4 weeks.

Floating to meet facility needs and between like units may be necessary.

Required experience includes 2 years, with a strong preference for Neuro (spine / crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Da Vinci Xi) cases.

Common cases include Orthopedic (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (crani, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants / Procurement, Trauma / Burns, and GYN.

First-time travelers are accepted.

A radiation badge is required to be provided by the agency.

This position is within a Level 1 trauma center and a teaching facility offering a variety of surgical specialties.

The Operating Room has 21 suites handling an array of surgical cases.

Interdisciplinary teams include both Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists.

The environment is busy and dynamic, aimed at providing advanced technology to patients.

All required time off must be submitted upfront for approval based on facility needs.

Travelers should be aware of emergency response assignments during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
