This position has both business development and project execution operational leadership responsibilities.
As the Business Leader for our Florida / Caribbean geography, you are responsible for client relationships with existing clients and for relationship development with new clients in the Cities & Places market. Your goals are recurring operational sales and new sales with upcoming opportunities. In support of this effort, the sub-geography inside sales and operational sales teams provide assistance and support in developing presentation materials as well as alignment with engagement meetings to determine gaps in the client's plans where we can sell the 'One Jacobs' portfolio of services.
As a Business Leader, your overall management responsibility are for direct reports at-site and for support personnel working from the home office. Under the different procurement delivery strategies - traditional design-bid-build or CM-atRisk (CMAR) or CM-as-Constructor (CMc) or Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) or Design Build (DB) the Business Leader provides project execution expertise through team leadership (project managers and / or construction managers), technical acumen, financial, schedule and quality control, commercial and risk management to meet project and Company objectives. The Business Leader will lead safety, development of our team, capturing and growing work with our clients, delivery of outstanding services and compliance with Jacobs requirements within various markets.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
Ensures adherence and cultivates a culture to HSE requirements for all projects in their portfolio and aligned PMs to keep our staff, contractors, clients and adjacent personnel and property safe
Fosters and Supports the Jacobs Beyond Zero safety culture with Jacobs staff, client staff, consultants, and contractors
Leadership
Manages, coaches and provides skill and career development for aligned PMs and front-line delivery management
Oversees talent engagement of aligned PMs
Supports career development of PMs through the Project Manager Advancement Program (PMAP)
Ensures succession plans are in place for individuals in key roles and recommends hiring and terminations of PMs in coordination with others
Drives team to provide outstanding service and solutions to Clients
Keeps Global and Regional Management and Director(s) of Programs informed of and engaged in critical project issues and developments
Sales
Develops and / or supports the development of, reviews and approves proposal / pricing, schedules and risk reserves. Engages Management, Program Director(s), legal, contracts and compliance in the review and approval process
Works with operational sales and CAMS for new client engagement; new business development Works with PMs for operational sales with existing clients to provide 'One Jacobs' for gap closure
Ensures that differentiating solutions and technologies are applied to pursuits and projects to win and deliver outstanding projects
Assists the PM and Client Account Managers (CAMs) with client management and satisfaction leading to growth of business with Client
Assist with proposal writing and team composition development
Delivery
Manages performance of designers, vendors and subcontractors by utilizing the skills and knowledge of our project managers and support teams
Work with Regional Management, Program Director(s) and project financial team for Business Plan Forecast, ensuring that Project ETCs are forecasted accurately
Drives the delivery of budgeted GM for a portfolio of projects and aligned PMs. Enhances GM results through focus on change management, cash management and delivery of high quality, value added services to our clients
Shares best practices and lessons learned to promote continuous product and process improvement
Quality
Ensures compliance with all Project Execution Group and Quality policies, procedures, protocols and work instructions and appropriate use of all mandated project tools
Reviews, approves and ensures ongoing update and management of the Project Risk Register / Mitigation Plan, Project Execution Plan and the Project Quality Plan
Conducts monthly Operational Project Reviews (OPRs) on all projects and publishes the project review report with critical issues and actions
Attends Administrative Project Reviews (APRs) as required to discuss projects within their portfolio meeting the APR thresholds
Reviews monthly accuracy of Estimate-to-Complete (ETC) and Estimate-at Completion (EAC) and addresses variances or issues with PMs
Monitors accounts receivable (AR) and unbilled revenue and works with PMs to address issues as needed
Ensures adherence to the Quality Plan including Expectation Surveys, Satisfaction Surveys, checks of deliverables and audits of the QC process
Ensures PMs work with Operational / Group / Design Leaders for assignment of appropriate staff to projects
Here's what you'll need
Minimum 10 years successfully (and directly) managing profit and loss for multiple projects
Past history of successfully delivering programs and projects to the satisfaction of clients in multiple markets.
Bachelor's degree In Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management required. Exceptions given based on years of experience performing related tasks.
Advanced knowledge and experience of project management and construction management processes, means and methods required.
Working knowledge of contract administration
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification preferred.
SUPPORTING REQUIREMENTS
Must have a base understanding of the suite of programs in Microsoft Office
Must be available for travel from home base for project oversight and for business development
Must possess soft skills in resolving personnel issues as well as client concerns coupled with technical knowledge of the project and / or the construction delivery method
Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
