Manufacturing Associate

Job Summary:

Support the manufacture and assembly of Submarine Ingots.

Primary responsibility will be to operate a flame lathe.

Perform other support activates related to Submarine Manufacturing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manufacture ultra-low loss ingots by operating the KPSC flame-lathe.

Inspect incoming parts for quality assurance.

Support experimental wareflow in OR and OV.

Perform York/Empire/Cairo measurements.

Perform PCVA/iCVA/Client measurements for process experiments.

Perform screening and measurements in the Submarine area.

Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate manufacturing and development needs.

Qualifications:

Individual must be self-directed, detail oriented & passionate about safety in the workplace.

Independent & efficient.

Ability to handle/prioritize multiple tasks as necessary.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Good judgement.

No active discipline.

Desired Skills:

Glass making experience using a hand torch.

Currently trained flame room operators or previously trained flame room operators or ingot makers.
