Position Summary and Responsibilities
Counsel and support patients and their families as they navigate personal and environmental challenges that may contribute to health issues or impede the receipt of optimal care. Serve as a key member of multi-disciplinary health and mental health teams, fostering collaboration to ensure timely and effective service delivery. Cultivate positive working relationships among patients, providers, and staff, while adhering to University Health policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
A Master’s degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required. Preferably, candidates will have at least one year of post-master’s degree experience in a healthcare setting.
Licensure
Current licensure from the Texas Department of Human Services is mandatory.
