INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

A top-15 AmLaw firm is seeking a motivated mid-level Associate Attorney to join its highly-regarded Intellectual Property and Technology (IP&T) Practice Group in New York . This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled attorney to become part of a dynamic and collaborative team with a national reputation for excellence in IP litigation and brand protection matters.

Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record .

Active Bar Admission in New York , in good standing .

3–6 years of substantive experience working with intellectual property matters in multiple or all of the following areas :

• Federal court litigation involving trademark , copyright , trade dress , false advertising , and unfair competition ,
• TTAB and UDRP proceedings ,
• Trademark clearance , filing strategy , prosecution , and enforcement both domestically and internationally,
• Advertising copy review and related issues, including NAD / BBB matters, and
• Privacy and publicity rights issues.

High proficiency in drafting pleadings , managing discovery , preparing expert reports , and participating in settlement strategy and dispute resolution .

Preferred candidates will have deep experience with client management, business development, and the independent management of cases in a fast-paced environment.

Soft Skills : Exceptional research, writing, analytical, communication, and oral advocacy skills are a must. Ability to thrive both as a team contributor and when working autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

Manage federal court litigation involving trademarks, copyrights, trade dress, false advertising, and unfair competition.

Draft pleadings , motions , and discovery documents ; assist with expert reports and deposition preparation .

Advise clients on domestic and international trademark strategy , clearance , prosecution , and enforcement .

Represent clients in TTAB proceedings and UDRP disputes .

Conduct advertising and marketing review , including NAD / BBB matters.

Collaborate with attorneys across litigation, licensing, corporate, tax, and other teams to provide comprehensive IP counseling.

Compensation & Benefits

Highly Competitive Salary : $260,000 – $420,000 , commensurate with experience.
