Job descriptionRegular and punctual attendance required Prepare and deliver custodial and cafeteria materials and supplies as assigned Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment in the shipping and receiving areas as directed Inspect, service and operate delivery trucks and other system-owned vehicles as assigned Enter and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for schools as requested Prepare monthly reports, file reports, answer and direct phone calls as directed Account for and issue instructional materials as assigned Maintain accurate inventory records on all equipment and supplies housed in the warehouse, including projectors, CD and VCR players, and all other electronic equipment as assigned Complete book orders from schools and file required reports accurately as directed Receive, inventory, label, stock, pack and deliver textbooks as assigned Receive and ship supplies as requested Inventory school equipment as assigned Deliver and pickup materials, supplies and equipment to and from schools as directed Lock and secure warehouse building daily as assigned Transfer furniture, lunchroom equipment and other supplies and equipment from one facility to another as directed Clean warehouse, paint, replace light bulbs, and organize supplies and equipment as directed Restock, deliver and pickup science kits as assigned Perform janitorial tasks in the warehouse areas as assigned Maintain credentials to operate vehicles and equipment as necessary to accomplish work tasks; required to promptly report loss of credentials to operate vehicles Ability to work an (8) eight hour day and overtime as requested Ability to perform basic computer skills for reports, inventory, and other assignments Ability to follow oral and written instruction Ability to work independently with or without supervision Skills to operate delivery trucks and other system-owned vehicles as assigned Skills in the use of tools and equipment pertinent to the assigned tasks Knowledge of equipment, materials, tools, and methods to perform work tasks as assigned Knowledge of safety rules in the work place Complete assigned tasks with a positive attitude Ability to work with a significant diversity of individuals and / or groups, and perform effectively as a team Lift and carry up to 100 pounds on a regular basis, depending on the job assignment Walk and stand 85% of work shift Stoop, bend, twist, turn, and reach on a regular basis Environmental exposures to heat and cold on a regular basis Adequate strength, dexterity, and agility to perform all tasks assigned
Warehouse And Delivery Position
Qualifications :
- High school diploma, GED, or sufficient education and experience to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to carry out tasks requiring moderate physical exertion and heavy lifting, working outside in various conditions
- Possess and maintain valid Alabama driver's license and MPS insurable driving record required
- Ability to follow oral and written instruction
