We are seeking a dedicated candidate for the role of Collections Specialist based in Nashua, New Hampshire. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity within a dynamic telecom provider.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of collections and reconciliation tasks, ensuring prompt and accurate financial reporting, and maintaining comprehensive customer files.
Responsibilities :
- Handle inbound and outbound collections calls to ensure timely payments
- Apply cash to customer accounts and post high-volume cash receipts
- Process wire, check, and credit card payments effectively
- Track daily deposits and retrieve remittance data to maintain accurate financial records
- Resolve all vendor inquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain and update customer files to ensure data integrity
- Call on all past due amounts and record all results in the system
- Record all customer payments to the correct reports
- Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
- Proficiency in Collections - Commercial and Credit - Collections
- Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations
- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Cash Applications
- Strong understanding of Financial Reporting
- Ability to analyze and solve financial discrepancies
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and regulations
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Excellent customer service skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
