Job Opportunity : 2nd Regional Sales Manager for Texas Region
Distech Controls, an innovation leader in energy management solutions, is seeking a 2nd Regional Sales Manager for the Texas Region. This role involves identifying and maintaining strategic relationships with General Contractors and Developers throughout the Texas Region. The ideal candidate will work with our current Distech Control's System Integrator base and Acuity Brands Lighting Agency to cultivate existing relationships and develop leads through various methods. The individual should have the ability to assist with estimating controls projects and possess the technical aptitude to discuss a broad range of topics such as HVAC, BAS, IT, Fiber Networks, and Lighting Controls. This position focuses on projects in the Texas metro areas in addition to Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Key tasks and responsibilities include identifying and developing relationships with Consultants, General Contractors, Developers, and Property Owners; coordinating the involvement of company personnel to meet growth objectives; promoting Distech in the market; actively participating in local professional organizations; participating in project management activities; estimating and proposal writing; and maintaining accurate tracking of leads and opportunities utilizing the CRM.
Accountabilities include achieving assigned sales quota, meeting assigned expectations for profitability, completing client account plans, maintaining high client satisfaction ratings, completing required training and development objectives, influencing at all levels in an organization, assuming positions of greater impact and complexity over time, balancing strategy and innovation with direct and successful execution, and utilizing innovative approaches in complex markets.
Skills and minimum experience required include residing in Texas and understanding the market landscape, a four-year university or college degree, minimum of five years of HVAC and / or building automation system sales management, sales management experience in a business-to-business environment, exceptional written, oral communication, and presentation skills, ability to multi-task and handle various priorities, personal computer proficiency, extensive experience and capability to speak up and down the channel / construction cycle, and experience in a company that manufactures and markets technically complex controls products through various distribution channels.
Job requirements and working conditions include some travel, holding a valid driver's license, holding a valid passport, and potentially maintaining a home-based office. Compensation includes a strong base salary and sales incentive plan, with a range of $83,300.00 to $149,900.00, depending on experience and geographic location. Acuity offers generous benefits including health care, dental coverage, vision plans, 401K benefits, and commissions / incentive compensation depending on the role.
