Security / FSO Manager
The Security / FSO Manager reports to the Director of Contracts and EHandS oversees all aspects of industrial and physical security for a Department of Defense contracted ship repair facility. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local security regulations while safeguarding company personnel, assets, and classified information. The Security Manager develops, implements, and maintains security policies, procedures, and programs consistent with DoD, BSIS, and DCSA requirements, including the management of facility (FCL) and personnel (PCL) clearances. Serving as the primary liaison with government security agencies, the Security Manager leads the security team in daily operations, risk mitigation, incident response, and employee training.
Minimum Education and Experience :
- 3 years relevant progressive experience, Bachelors in related field, and 2+ years in a management or supervisory capacity
- 2 years relevant progressive experience, Masters in related field, and 2+ years in management or supervisory capacity
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant progressive experience and 2+ years in management or supervisory capacity

Prepare responses to local agencies regarding audit findings including investigating such findings and offering solutions or rebuttal.Reviews various plans and procedures for new Security requirements.Develops and reviews Security Department documents, procedures, and manuals, and security related procedures of other departments, for compliance with BSIS, CMMC, DCSA, and NAVSEA SI.Perform impact analysis on security program changes regulations.Evaluates security and safety requirements related to jobs, equipment, and processes, the implementation methods, and the basis for the requirement.Research security related technical requirements and technological advancements making recommendations to the Management on actions required.Coordinates and coalesces with multiple agencies regarding security emergencies.Oversees DCSA audits which include all areas associated with the audit.Oversees the confidential investigation of security breaches and assist with any disciplinary actions or legal matters associated with such breaches as required.Interacts with all levels of employees in a variety of settings.Oversees and coordinates the permit process for facility projects on land and in the water.Full working knowledge of procedures and practices.Able to motivate and provide objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines and general policies.Excellent written and verbal communication.Proficient in the use of PCs and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop applications, and electronic mail programs.Physical Requirements :
Requires working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Will require excessive walking, standing, navigating up and down narrow ladders / stairs and steep ramps.Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet / floor level. May need to lift more than 40 pounds to waist level.May encounter rapid changes in microclimates, industrial processes, and other environmental factors while collecting data, providing direction, and observing performance of task teams.Exposure to fumes, irritants, laser light, toxic chemicals, and potential electrical shock in an industrial or shipboard environment.May involve gathering data while observing rotating or operating machinery.Our Commitment :
