Ensure equipment meets safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Track compliance with engineering budgets and support equipment design and maintenance. Oversee installation and modification of plant facilities for optimal performance. Collaborate with teams to support production efficiency and quality at minimal cost.
What You'll Do
- Perform activities involving continuous improvement tools, analysis of product irregularities, recommending solutions and facilitating cost down initiatives related to improving product costs. These duties include assisting in training and instruction of appropriate team members and day-to-day floor support.
- Assist in identification of unacceptable performance through analysis and acquired technical knowledge of the product and process, including waste and cost reduction.
- Assist in and learn process for preparing cost estimates, financially justifying projects, preparing budgets, reviewing design, supervising installation and commissioning. Assist in research of new equipment, systems and processes to advance plant operations.
- Gain understanding and assist to ensure safety, environmental and other regulatory compliances by working with appropriate associates on EHS issues, following the implementation of MSR's and continually improving communication across relevant departments.
- Participate in contractor management process and periodically audit contractor's work to ensure that safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed.
What We're Looking For
Required - Bachelor's in engineering.4 or more years of experience working with multi-disciplinary Engineering & Maintenance associates to achieve cost effective goals.What Will Set You Apart
Equipment design experience and project engineering or plant management.Ability to use appropriate computer-based technology, interpret and create technical CAD drawings and schematics.Ability to understand electrical or mechanical diagrams.Ability to program and debug programming languages and understand and troubleshoot machine problems.Some knowledge in design electrical control systems.Ability to understand and design modern safety control systems.Knowledge in scheduling and preventative maintenance.Knowledge in SAP storeroom and management.Knowledge in SAP PM.Industrial / manufacturing experience.Goodyear is an equal employment opportunity employer.
