Job description

Loader Operator

Aerotek's client is looking for a loader operator to join their night shift team in the port deposit, MD area. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a range of heavy equipment at a sand and gravel plant, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively operate a front-end loader, dozer, haul truck, and / or excavator.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
  • Interact with customers, co-workers, and management courteously and respectfully.
  • Maintain constant awareness of safety and efficiency, displaying flexibility and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in operating a front-end loader and other heavy equipment.
  • 4+ years of experience in loader operation.
  • Experience with excavators and forklifts.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to meet physical demands including walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Work is performed in both outdoor and indoor environments, subjected to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, dust, and wind. Operate various types of heavy equipment and machinery while adhering to strict safety policies.

    • Qualified candidates will be given a call within 48 hours of submitting an application.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00 / hr.
