Flex / After-Hours Hospice RN (Part Time)

Location : Lexington, KY

Schedule : O ne weekday 8 : 00am-9 : 00pm every other week & every other Saturday & Sunday 8 : 00am-9 : 00pm

Note : weekday is flexible and will be determined in scheduling with the supervisor

Incentive : $4.00 per hour on-call shift differential pay for shifts after 5 : 00pm weeknights and all day for weekend shifts, in addition to base pay

As a BCN Hospice Team member, you will be a part of a team providing care and support to patients and their families who no longer receive treatments to cure their terminal illness, but instead choose care to improve their comfort and quality of life. Our service allows our team members to focus on one patient at a time providing care where the patient calls home. While this often is a house or apartment, we also provide care at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. If a patient’s care needs are too complicated for home care or require a higher level of attention from nurses and other experts, we can provide care at one of our Hospice Care Centers.

About The Role

The Flex / After-Hours Hospice RN delivers compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals receiving comprehensive health care services in a variety of home care settings, including private residences, skilled nursing facilities, personal care homes, or wherever the patient calls home. This hybrid role supports continuity of care outside of regular business hours and also provides flexible dayshift coverage based on the evolving needs of the hospice team. These needs may include responding to urgent patient needs, managing symptoms, supporting new admissions, and assisting with ongoing case management. A Registered Nurse in this position will have strong communication skills, the competence to work autonomously, professionalism to work within an interdisciplinary team, and the ability to provide care with empathy.
