POSITION SUMMARY
The primary focus of this role is responsible for maintaining accurate BOMs and MOMs in Epicor, supports custom product and rework requests, and provides cross-functional updates to operations, sales, and customer care teams. The Specialist also assists with RMA requests, quality compliance, and process improvements while upholding high standards of communication and change management. In addition, this position will assist in managing supplier relationships and procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials from domestic and international sources. This role oversees purchase orders, vendor-managed inventory, and inventory levels while leveraging MRP and ERP systems to optimize sourcing, scheduling, and production flow.
Materials Management and Product Data
- Utilize Epicor ERP system to configure bills of material (BOM)s and method of manufacturing (MOM)s for product orders, product updates, and rework.
- Support operations and engineering team by maintaining BOM structure and accuracy in reference Core BOM documents.
- Prepare BOMs for custom requests, RMA inquiries, custom paint requests.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
Support Compliance in executing RMA requests, rework, and material disposition.Uphold discipline in quality, change, and communication procedures.Support business improvements and complete special projects as assigned.Cross-Functional Support and Communication
Support operations team with BOM / MOM details related to purchasing, fabrication and assembly.Communicate BOM / MOM changes to allow operations to adjust inventory and manufacturing needs and update job details.Provide support to Customer Care, Sales team, Assembly, Fabrication, with vendor updates, including updated shipping dates on new orders and re-date late orders on a daily basis.Must demonstrate willingness to learn and get involved with tasks when needed.Other duties as assigned.Procurement and Supplier Management
Plan and execute procurement of materials from domestic and international suppliers.Maintain purchase order status and proactively monitor open orders to ensure on-time delivery.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to confirm production / shipping schedules and resolve delivery issues.Analyze and utilize MRP, source lists, and material master data to optimize sourcing and planning.Manage and oversee vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs to maintain appropriate stock levels and reduce shortages.Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points to support uninterrupted production.Provide estimated shipping dates on new orders and re-date late orders daily.Position Qualifications

Education : High School Diploma, or GED
Experience : 1-2 years Manufacturing environment with operational responsibilities
