ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Performs shipping, receiving, storage, picking, checking, and loading duties following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as well as Machine Operating Procedures (MOP).
- Performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
- Operates various warehouse equipment including but not limited to sit-down forklift, stock picker and RF scanners.
- Maintains equipment, includes performing safety checks.
- Complies with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to the Team Leader or appropriate resource.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Notifies the Team Leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
- Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
- Ensures that all work meets nVent’s quality specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SPECIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse work experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift and stock picker experience required.
- Computer knowledge necessary, Excel, Word, Outlook, JD Edwards, and Internet.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including but not limited to : UPS WorldShip, Fed-Ex, Ship Manager and LTL shipping procedures.
- Ability to operate equipment necessary to position. i.e. Forklifts, stock picker, RF scanner, shrink wrapper, bander, battery charger, dock levers.
- Knowledge of, and ability to promote, compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Skill in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and written.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment.
- Ability to function and maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure work environment.

Our Warwick, RI facility is an ITAR-controlled site. All candidates must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.
