Summary :
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a proactive, multi-disciplinary, advisory program that will assess risks and benefits to aid decision-makers.The Enterprise Risk Consultant will play a vital role on the ERM team by consulting with various business owners on the risk management process - identification, quantification, prioritization, risk response planning and execution. The Enterprise Risk Consultant is responsible for leading project-based risk assessments, evidence-based literature reviews and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses. This role also facilitates project discussion, tracking and reporting related to integrated risks throughout the organization and advises on mitigation strategies to drive effective risk reduction in pursuit of organizational mission.
Responsibilities :
- Integrated Risks
- Leads discussions collaboratively with cross-functional departments and stakeholders to obtain relevant information, both clinical and non-clinical, to complete an integrated risk assessment and build a risk-informed mitigation plan in a timely manner.
- Serve as an advisor in various committees, as assigned, to capture and proactively mitigate integrated risks.
- Collaborate with various departments to address risks related to current practices, policies and procedures.
- Connects identified integrated risks to respective risk domains and enterprise risks. Supports enterprise risk related deliverables as requested by ERM leadership.
- Project-Based Risk Assessments
- Leads multi-disciplinary project-based risk assessments, including conducting internal and external research, educating SMEs on current and / or proposed state, and facilitating the collection of risk / benefits scores and reasoning. Compile information into a comprehensive and easy-to-understand written report. Present risks / benefits to business owners and executive leaders, as needed. Participate in related project execution meetings to advise on mitigation best practices and ensure accountability to proactively solving for identified risks.
- Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
- Lead Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) related to non-quality related integrated risks and systemwide initiatives. This includes managing the project through initiation, the four phases of a FMEA, and close out, in close collaboration with key stakeholders. Proficient in developing strategies and action plans to mitigate identified risks and monitor effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.

- Conducts research to produce written evidence-based literature reviews and advise business owners on best practices related to the risk topic.
- Collaborates with others on Enterprise Risk Management team to ensure high-quality, accurate and unbiased risk analysis.
- Leverages quality improvement methodologies and high reliability principles to drive advisement on proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements and trends in the healthcare and risk management.
- Provides training and education to team members on risk management principles and methodologies and promotes a culture of safety and risk awareness within the organization.
- Facilitates and leads, as necessary, quarterly meetings with key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to capture identification and quantification of integrated risks and related mitigation efforts.
