The RN plays a key role in supporting patient assessments, clinical procedures, education, and care coordination within the scope of NJ nursing practice.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a non-exempt clinical role responsible for delivering high-quality primary nursing care in an outpatient infectious disease setting. This includes assessments, care planning, patient teaching, documentation, medication administration, and support of clinic operations. The RN practices within the guidelines of the New Jersey Board of Nursing.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Obtain and verify patient health history; gather relevant data through physical assessments.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor and document patient response.

Accurately document assessments, interventions, education, medications, and lab / test results.

Provide educational materials and reinforce physician instructions.

Set up exam / treatment rooms and equipment following clinic protocols.

Prepare patients for exams; administer medications (including injections).

Perform additional tasks as assigned to support clinic operations and patient care.
