Job descriptionPromote dental health through dental prophylaxis, oral cancer screenings, radiographic studies, and documenting conditions related to decay and disease in accordance with the Dental Practice Act. Prepare patients by welcoming, seating, and draping them prior to dental hygiene treatment. Provide information and answer questions from patients and staff to enhance their understanding. Ensure all instrumentation is properly maintained, including sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments for treatments. Assess patient oral health to select appropriate materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits. Perform dental prophylaxis by removing deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins. Detect oral diseases through screenings, examinations of gums, probing for periodontal issues, and conducting radiographic studies. Prevent dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity prevention agents. Active dental hygiene license in MO. Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills to educate patients about oral health practices.
Pay Range : $45.00 - $55.00 / hour
