President and CEO

Lead Walker’s next era of growth as President and CEO, shaping strategy, expanding impact, and advancing care for children, youth, and families across Massachusetts.

In partnership with Lindayer, Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs (Walker) seeks a strategic, mission-driven executive to serve as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead a talented team in advancing Walker’s mission of transforming the lives of children, youth, and families facing complex emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges.

The CEO will shape organizational strategy, enhance visibility, and strengthen operations across multiple service areas, including Residential and Educational Programs, Behavioral Health and Community-Based Services, and Walker Solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with credibility in child- and family-serving systems, proven nonprofit management experience, and the vision to guide Walker through its next phase of growth.

In this role, you will :

• Partner with the Board and senior leaders to design and execute strategic plans that respond to evolving needs.
• Promote a high-performing workplace culture, investing in workforce development and succession planning.
• Oversee programs, operations, and cross-agency planning to ensure transparency, quality, and measurable results.
• Manage a complex, multi-source budget and ensure organizational sustainability through strong financial oversight.
• Expand philanthropic revenue, elevate Walker’s visibility, and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and policymakers.
