A company is looking for a Variant Scientist II to join its team remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Perform variant interpretation and generate clinical reports using an in-house genetic evidence system
Analyze and interpret clinical and genetic information from various sources
Develop and curate genetic content for a range of genetic disorders
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Genetics / Molecular Genetics / Human Genetics) with no experience, or
Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or
Bachelor's degree in Genetics or related field with 3 years of relevant experience
Experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory and familiarity with next-generation sequencing is preferred
Knowledge of advanced methods of copy number detection and interpretation is a plus
