Job description

Psychological Operations Specialist

As a Psychological Operations Specialist, you will become a master of persuasion, skilled at assessing and crafting the information necessary to influence and engage targeted audiences effectively. You will disseminate vital information across various channels, playing a crucial role in supporting both U.S. and foreign governments, militaries, and civilian populations.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card.

Aged between 17 to 34 years old.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Must be eligible for a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Ability to meet tattoo guidelines.

No major law violations.

No medical concerns that may affect performance.

Testing & Certifications

Access to 53 nationally recognized certifications.

20 weeks of One Station Unit Training to build foundational skills.

Complete a 10-day Psychological Operations Specialist Assessment & Selection Program, post-Airborne School and Psychological Operations Specialist Qualification Course (for active duty).

Achieve a score of 85 or above on the Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB) (for active duty).

Active Duty & Army Reserve requirements include 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training, and 10 weeks of Advanced Individual Training or 16-22 weeks of One Station Unit Training.

Active Duty only : Attendance at Airborne School may be required.

5 weeks of Psychological Operations (PO) Preparation & Conditioning Course.

Participation in a 10-day PO Assessment & Selection.

Complete 10 weeks of PO Qualification Course.

Engage in 10 weeks of Special Warfare PO Course.

16-22 weeks of Basic Special Operations Language Training is available.

Score 75 or above on the DLAB is necessary.

Note : Army Reserve Soldiers may qualify for Airborne or Language training if their units require it.

Achieve a minimum ASVAB score of 105 for General Technical (GT).
