Job Description

Role : Armed security officer (must pass Armed training, have valid pistol permit). IF this is a driving post (must have good MVR).

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday), if needed.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting and addressing the concerns of visitors and employees.
• The ability to remain calm, solve problems, and act effectively in a critical situation.
• Conduct regular walking patrols to improve the safety of individuals and proactively identify and report security concerns.
• Monitor facility access points, employing verification procedures to authenticate the identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting premises, in support of a secure environment.
• Maintain precise and detailed logs documenting activities, incidents, and notable observations, facilitating comprehensive reporting and analysis for enhanced security measures.
• Must have basic computer experience and the ability to use a tablet to conduct security reports.
• Enforce security procedures in the relevant Security Post Instruction.
• Execute routine tasks with proficiency, such as securely locking and unlocking doors, activating, and deactivating security systems, and diligently monitoring surveillance feeds for signs of potential threats or breaches.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents, utilizing appropriate actions and established protocols.
• Always look professional in a clean and pressed uniform.
• Informs and ensures compliance of SEI and Clients policies, such as smoking, loitering, parking violations, etc.

Minimum Qualifications :

The State of Alabama requires that you must have or obtain and maintain a valid Security Officer / Guard License issued by the Alabama Security Regulatory Board when providing any regulated activities in the State of Alabama. This role requires you to operate a motor vehicle. You must have and maintain a valid driver's license from your state of residence for this role. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Skills & Abilities :

Ability to function well in a high-paced and potentially stressful work environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Mentally alert and able to make quick, sound decisions in emergencies. Capable of working in high-stress or high-risk environments.

Minimum Physical Requirements :

Stand and sit for long periods of time. Walk a minimum of mile without stopping. Climb a minimum of 20 common commercial facility stairs without stopping.

Education & Experience :

Minimum : HS Diploma or equivalent. Experience : None. Preferred : HS Diploma or equivalent. Experience : 1+ Year Armed Security.
