Primary Purpose : Performs concurrent monitoring of patients on telemetry and event monitors to assist in the early identification of cardiac arrhythmias.

Minimum Specifications

• Education

Must have completed a Medical Assistant course that includes EKG OR six months experience interpreting EKG rhythm strips.

Must demonstrate during interview the ability to interpret EKG rhythm strips; must be able to demonstrate all telemetry related functions and complete the three day EKG course or take the challenge test with a passing grade of at least 80% within the 90 day probationary period.
