Purpose of the Job : The Joplin, MO Plant Technical Leader will ensure all manufacturing processes are robust and operationally capable for the manufacture of the product, meeting quality requirements and cost objectives. They provide technical leadership in the resolution of manufacturing problems, effectively communicating with all levels of the organization to include internal customers and suppliers. The person in this position helps to implement organizational strategies, standards, and practices to achieve best-in-class performance. The Technical Leader will develop and document all new processes, as well as review and modify where necessary existing processes.

Reports to : Directly to the plant leader and is an integral partner in executing the technical and quality strategy for the plant.

Span of Control : 5

Leading in Safety

• Provide a safe and secure work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors
• Ensures a clear and effective measurement system is followed and used to drive results; rewards and celebrates safe behavior and achievements; ensures accountability
• Participates in work area self-inspections and accident investigations as well as recommends corrective actions to make the workplace safer
• Leads and supports safety initiatives and processes to drive towards zero recordable injuries
