Position Overview :

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. The Main OR cares for a diverse range of patients across multiple surgical specialties, including : orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma.

The facility operates two DaVinci robots for multi-specialty use and has an advanced transplant program for liver, kidney, and heart surgeries. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and skilled in both scrub and circulate roles.

Responsibilities :

Provide perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical specialties in a Level 1 trauma setting.

Scrub and circulate for complex cases, including transplant, orthopedic, reconstructive, and neuro procedures.

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and patient safety standards.

Requirements :

Active RN License (NY State ONLY)

Minimum 2 years of OR experience ; Level 1 trauma experience preferred

Ability to scrub and circulate in multiple specialties

Certifications Required :

BLS – American Heart Association ONLY

ACLS – Preferred

Preferred Surgical Experience :

Specialty cases (transplants, plastics, reconstructive)

Craniotomy

Strong orthopedic background
