Senior Manager, Implementation Management Office

Position Summary

As a Senior Manager within the Implementation Management Office at CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy, you will lead and oversee enterprise-level programs and portfolios with budgets exceeding $50 million. You will be responsible for driving strategic planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact initiatives that generate millions in annual value, directly contributing to the organization's financial and operational performance.

In this role, you will establish and scale advanced program and portfolio management practices to ensure alignment with Specialty Pharmacy's strategic objectives. You will manage the full lifecycle of initiativesfrom intake and prioritization through implementation and performance monitoring ensuring measurable outcomes that support operational efficiency and align with business growth goals. You will be expected to have solid business acumen and a demonstrated ability to learn business processes, particularly operations.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project and portfolio management, strong financial and operational acumen, and proven thought and people leadership experience. You will be a strategic thinker and change agent, capable of influencing across functions and levels to deliver transformative outcomes.

Responsibilities

Program Management Leadership And Execution :

  • Leading high-visibility, cross-functional programs and projects within a matrixed environment.
  • Overseeing a diverse portfolio of initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, quality execution, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure creation and maintenance of high-quality project artifacts that support leadership decision-making and initiative evolutions.

Driving Continuous Improvement :

  • Conducting lessons learned and implementing improvements.
  • Implementing and leveraging data-driven decision-making across the PMO.
  • Driving process improvement inputs and recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration And Influence :

  • Partner with internal partner organizations to manage dependencies, adjust plans, and maintain momentum across initiatives to align on delivery and execution of major programs and key initiatives
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members to build organizational capability and project leadership depth.
  • Performance Tracking And Reporting :

  • Ensuring financial investments yield optimal results through rigorous tracking of KPIs, OKR's, and quality metrics for programs and initiatives.
  • Forecast and manage resource allocation and budgets on a weekly basis, ensuring optimal utilization and financial accountability.
  • Conduct regular status reviews and deliver updates in both formal and informal settings to key stakeholders.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • 5-8 years experience, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, both directly and indirectly, to achieve strategic and operational goals within established timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and build relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and leadership teams.
  • Collaborative mindset with a track record of working across IT, business, and third-party partners (e.g. manufacturers, hubs,) to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working on complex large-scale programs and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Business acumen, resource and budget management experience is a must
  • Understanding of various software development methodologies including Waterfall, SCRUM / Agile / Kanban
  • Proficient in MS Suite of Products including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, One Note, Teams
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 8-10 years preferred experience in Project Management,
  • Project Management Certification / Scrum Certifications
  • Experience in Healthcare industry
  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as CA Rally, Confluence, SharePoint
  • Understanding of resource allocations, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Smartsheet knowledge
  • Education : Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required

    Pay Range : The typical pay range for this role is : $75,400.00 - $165,954.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
