About the Company

A leading national construction firm specializing in mechanical and process construction , with multiple offices across the United States. The company operates under a collaborative, high-performance culture and is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its growing Legal and Risk Management team.

Position Overview

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the oversight, coordination, and administration of upstream customer contracts , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely flow through the execution process. This position requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a solid understanding of construction contract principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage upstream customer contracts , including initial review, incorporating redlines, and drafting summaries for Legal and Risk Management.
  • Maintain the contract schedule and coordinate regular status review updates.
  • Request and maintain bonds (bid, contract, and consent) and builders risk certificates.
  • Draft various contractual instruments and amendments using prescribed templates and guidelines.
  • Produce and publish required reports and contract status updates.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal and Risk Management regarding contract requirements and project coordination.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and customer-focused results while maintaining strong internal communication.
  • Participate in various assignments related to contract administration as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher preferred (in business, legal studies, or related field).
  • 510 years of experience in a support or administrative role within the construction industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Solid understanding of construction contract terminology and concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail , with ability to identify inconsistencies or risk exposures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated critical reasoning, work ethic, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team.
