HVAC Install Helper
As an HVAC Install Helper, you will assist experienced HVAC technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level role involves a variety of tasks, including assembling materials, transporting tools, and ensuring work areas are clean and safe. Helpers also learn about HVAC systems, safety procedures, and industry standards while working under the guidance of more experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities :
- HVAC 1 year experience
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Keep safety precautions always implemented.
- Install HVAC systems and related equipment based on application & design, per manager
- Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling equipment
- Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing
- Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment
- Install condensation lines to equipment
- Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials needed for each job
- Be responsible for helper, including training.
- Demonstrate and establish effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors, including amicable working environments for all.
- Properly fill out all paperwork required for each job and take photographic documentation as requested by management.
- Basic ability to read and / or interpret blueprints
- Take refrigerant readings and interpret blueprints
- Take refrigerant readings and interpret accordingly to make appropriate adjustments, necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle and keep always stocked
- Light platform work (repair / replacement)
- Sheet metal fabrication as necessary
- Any other assigned duties as directed, to include but not limited to, all duties outlined
