About The Position

Certifications : ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP

Must-Have : Previous Charge Experience (2 years), Patient Ratio Experience (2 patients)

Description :

This position involves working in the Labor and Delivery unit.

Candidates should have experience in antepartum, anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and labor and delivery practices.

The nurse will assist with high-risk deliveries and manage vaginal deliveries.

Responsibilities include circulating for C-sections and recovering patients post-C-section.

Nurses will perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients.

Use of external fetal heart monitoring and monitoring of lab results is required.

Successful candidates should be familiar with maintaining central lines and insulin drips.

Weekend requirements include 4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks.

Travelers may float to similar units based on facility needs.

Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit.
