The Position Proposition :

The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) is a key leader in the deployment and execution of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within our Major Projects Group (MPG).

This role is vital for steering BESS EPC projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and meet client demands.

The Sr. PM is tasked with directing the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of BESS projects, supervising project administration, engineers, and other project team members to maintain excellent stakeholder relationships and meet operational priorities.

Team Leadership : Build, train, and lead BESS project teams, including local and remote members, to deliver projects effectively and efficiently.

Project Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for all BESS project-related communications with clients, maintaining alignment across all project stages, from engineering to procurement to construction, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.

Technical and Process Expertise : Apply in-depth knowledge of battery storage technologies to guide design and implementation processes, adapting project scopes and plans based on technical evaluations and stakeholder feedback.

Stakeholder Collaboration : Coordinate closely with various teams, including pre-construction, estimating, project controls, and construction management, to ensure seamless project flows and address any project hurdles promptly.

Reporting and Accountability : Regularly update senior management and clients on project status, highlighting challenges and the strategies deployed to mitigate risks.

Ensure rigorous project documentation and control procedures are in place.

Mentoring and Professional Development : Mentor team members, enhancing their professional skills and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the BESS projects team.

Safety Leadership : Uphold and reinforce strict adherence to safety standards across all project activities, promoting a culture of safety first among team members and on project sites.

Educational & Minimum Requirements :

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• At least 15 years of industry experience, with at least eight years in project management roles explicitly handling large-scale energy storage or similar projects.
• Proven ability to manage projects and teams with project values exceeding $100 million.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering principles specific to electrical systems, battery technologies, and renewable energy integrations.
• Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills to handle complex and multiple concurrent projects.
