Job descriptionRespond to interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation and enunciation Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions Remain calm during interpreting sessions, especially in emergency situations Fluency in Kiche and English and skilled in associated cultural dynamics Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred Must be at least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Ability to adapt to technology enhancements for improved service delivery Read and write the requested languages Prior experience in teaching, language assessment, translation, or interpretation
