Summary : The Technical Account Manager is a fast-paced role that requires an individual who can demonstrate leadership, a high level of attention to detail, has technical experience, and can deliver results.
They play a critical part in driving success with our most strategic accounts. Technical Account Managers rely on their technical credibility, leadership, and relationship management skills to build strong customer relationships.
Essential Functions :
- Act as the primary technical advisor and point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Ensure effective communication both written and over the phone with strategic accounts.
- Utilize relationship management skills to improve your customer relationships continuously
- Proven ability to increase the sales volume of strategic accounts.
- Work with internal and external sales and construction teams to identify and qualify business opportunities
- Manage all aspects of the strategic accounts, including customer proposals and order processing.
- Lead productive customer meetings, business reviews, and other service and strategic discussions as required
- Advise the customer on Hamons services, and / or processes to ensure they are receiving the best value for their contract
- Produce reports that includes ongoing customer initiatives / projects as well as improvements made for each strategic account
Technical Skills :
- Strong analytical skills to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and BOM.
- Technical software skills to keep accurate and easily accessible records; CRM, Salesforce a plus, and MS Suite familiarity.
- Working knowledge of Air Pollution Control system design such as ESP, Fabric Filters and Scrubbers or Cooling Towers and mechanical equipment and drafting requirements desired but not required

Physical Requirements :
- Sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Type on a keyboard and operate a personal computer.
- Converse over a telephone.
- Perform work within office environment.
- Infrequent travel to Regional offices and / or customer locations
Education :
Engineering or other Technical 2-4 year related degree is preferred in an industrial or mechanical engineering background
Experience :
5 plus years of previous related professional experience preferred.
