Controls Engineer

Job Overview

Controls Engineer – Contract to Hire, 9-month term, location : Rockford, MI. Salary : $35–$45 / hr. Remote not available.

Responsibilities

• Carry controls portions of projects from concept to completion.
• Write code from scratch using existing libraries.
• Work with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
• Read, edit, and make red lines within AutoCAD electrical.
• Program robots, with expertise in at least one type required.
• Utilize ERP systems, with EPICOR preferred.
• Travel 25–50% of the time (scheduled 2–3 weeks in advance).
• Collaborate with teams including sales, project managers, mechanical, technicians, and electricians.
• Communicate effectively with customers and set expectations.
• Solve technical problems such as adjusting palletizing system patterns on-site.
