SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Industry Knowledge - Knowledge of vehicle detailing, cutting, and buffing; knowledge of detail chemicals, supplies, equipment and machines and their proper use.
- Safety - Knowledge on maintaining a safe working environment, following, and enforcing safety procedures established by the company and industry.
- Written Comprehension and Expression — Ability to read, understand and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
- Oral Comprehension and Expression —Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information.
- Problem Anticipation/ Deductive Reasoning — Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and then apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems and considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Computer – Ability to understand and properly operate the club’s point-of-sale and booking systems; ability to complete accurate cash transactions and fill out service invoices.
- Teamwork – The ability to work independently, taking initiative as needed, while still being directed by supervisors. Open to suggestions from members, co-workers, and management.
EXPERIENCE
- Two years of experience in auto detailing at full menu detail shop preferred.
- Two years in paint restorations (paint touch-up, wet sand, cut & buff) preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
EDUCATION
- High school graduate or equivalent
- A valid Washington State driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.

Physical Activities/Requirements
This position requires a high level of physical activity, including frequent periods of standing, bending, and walking. It also requires mobility and organization. You may be on your feet for extended periods of time as well as working with various chemicals washing vehicles.

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate will frequently stoop/bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, sit, stand, walk, reach above shoulders, reach at waist levels, reach below knees, push/pull, and grasp with fingers. The ability to lift 50-75 pounds is essential.
- This position deals with outside personnel such as residents and clients on a regular basis with contact in various forms such as in person, phone, and email.
- The location of the position changes frequently from indoors to outdoors.
- This position may occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
- It is sometimes necessary to deal with unpleasant or angry people with the need to problem solve difficult situations.
- It is necessary to adapt to a frequently changing environment.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs a variety of specific job functions: Customer service, appointment setting, detailing interior and exterior of vehicles, cleaning of office spaces, washing and drying detail laundry. Adherence to the company’s mission and core values.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Practices and enforces safety procedures.
- Detailing of vehicles and completing services within the given timeframe.
- Able to work productively with fellow coworkers.
- Cheerfully greets all members while performing assignments.
- Strive to improve detail skills.
- Answers telephone and schedules appointments in a professional manner
- Provides a clean and safe working environment for associates and members.
- Helps to train and mentor new associates.
- Capable of working in an outdoor environment
- Understand and anticipate the needs of members and guests; be attentive, listen carefully and follow through; provide exceptional customer service.
- Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate.
- Active participation in events, programs, meetings, and training
- Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response.
- Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days, and evenings. Helps to cover shifts when needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
