- Proof of high school graduation or GED equivalent.
- Experience working with children and in teaching and performing with color guard equipment.
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings and weekends.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Physically able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Terms of Employment
187 days, including full days for staff development and half days for the rest of the contract year.
Salary
$10,785 – IP 2, as approved by the Board of Trustees.
Essential Functions
Assist band director with color guard routines and marching drills.Help administer the band and color guard program.Maintain a neat classroom environment.Manage inventory, care, and maintenance of guard equipment and uniforms.Assist with administrative records and reports.Conduct instructional exercises and work with students individually or in small groups.Supervise students during and outside school hours.Inform teachers of students' needs or issues.Participate in staff development and school events.Attend practices, performances, contests, and games as required.Perform additional duties as assigned.Working Conditions
Use of personal computer and instructional equipment.Prolonged standing and frequent walking.Regular moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).Work outdoors in sun, heat, cold, and exposure to noise.Maintain emotional control under stress and work irregular hours, including travel.Application Process
