The starting pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, licensure, and certifications.

We are a busy, small animal general practice with three doctors looking for a full-time veterinary assistant to help enhance our partnership with our clients and patients. You will help create lifelong relationships with our patients so we can provide trusted, personalized care. You will be expected to learn to restrain during examinations and treatments, maintain hospital cleanliness, prepare laboratory samples, administer medications and immunizations, and so much more!

Requirements :
2+ years of veterinary experienceMust be able to type 40 wpmExperience with Cornerstone (highly preferred)Experience with proper animal handling and restraintKnowledge of industry tools and equipmentKnowledge of medications and vaccinesObtaining accurate and thorough medical historiesBlood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)Placing IV cathetersLaboratory skills such as ear and cytology, HM5, Vetscan, SedivueApplicants should be able to physically stand for long hours and lift to 35 lbs.Must be able to work 9-hour weekday shifts with 1-hour unpaid lunch and 5+ hour shifts on Saturdays.Qualifications :
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistantStrong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical proceduresExcellent communication and teamwork skillsVeterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.A degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred but not required.Responsibilities :
Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical proceduresSafely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccinesCollect lab samples and maintain accurate patient recordsEducate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environmentWhat Makes Us Different :
